Ni will be used as additive in hot dip galvanizing. What is the effect of Ni as an additive on the coating structure?

The first is the effect of Ni content on the thickness of the coating.

Through data analysis and comparison, it is found that the content of Ni is different, and the thickness of coating is different. With the increasing content of additive Ni, the thickness of the coating becomes thinner and thinner. At the same time, when the thickness of the coating decreases, the change trend of the amount of zinc on the coating is relatively consistent. But we should pay attention to the appropriate amount of Ni when we add it.

Second: the effect of Ni addition on the coating structure.

The appearance of pure zinc coating is similar to that of Zn-Ni alloy coating in short time of dipping, but with the extension of dipping time, the appearance of pure zinc coating is obviously different and the coating is gray. With the increase of Ni content, the time of the phenomenon of coating is getting slower and slower.

In industrial production, hot dip galvanizing with direct addition of Ni is easy to operate and the loss of Ni is reduced. Moreover, the process parameters of traditional hot dip galvanizing need not be changed. After adding Ni, the surface quality of the coating is better and the corrosion resistance of the coating is better.

In the whole hot dip galvanizing process, adding alloy is a very important link, it can not only save cost and time, but also play an energy-saving and environmental protection role.
